EM Spectrum Project
The EM Spectrum is is a chart that shows the different types of radiation, the colors each type corresponds with, and the wavelength of each type of radiation. Astronomers use the spectrum to look at different objects in space. With using a camera with certain types of radiation they can see different things about an object in space. They can see the heat of something or dust and clouds around an object. One concept that I learned was that there are different types of radiation in out every day lives. For example a microwave has microwaves in it. Another concept that I learned was that some waves can be very dangerous. For example Gamma rays in space. If a star has a Gamma ray burst then it can shoot off powerful gamma rays that basically destroy everything in its path. One question I still have about the EM Spectrum is how do they measure the waves? Another question that I have is how people can contain the waves? Like how people get microwaves in a microwave. My favorite thing about this project was making the newsletter. I liked how I had the freedom of putting everything where i wanted it to go. One thing that i did not like about this project was that there were a lot of websites. It got confusing at some points when i had all the websites up and i forgot which information was on which website. If i had to change one thing about this project it would be less websites.

Star Project Blog Reflection (planetary nebula)
A planetary nebula is a cloud of interstellar gas and dust with a star in the center. The project we had to do was research different things about a certain star group. The star group I had was a planetary nebula. We learned where in the star-gas-star cycle a planetary nebula was and also where it was in the H-R diagram. The thing i enjoyed most about this project was using glogster. It was cool that we could make a poster but have it be online where there were more decorative choices. The thing I liked least about this project was the inference questions. They were hard to figure out and hard to understand what they were asking. If I had to change something about this project it would be how my group's presentation went. We tried to do something cool with the smart board but knowing us we can't do anything right and ended up taking a thousand pictures of our glog. Overall it was a fun project and using glogster was enjoyable.

Who am i?
Well hello there fellow bloggers of the universe. I am a 10th grader. I enjoy running and will run in almost any type of weather. Choosing an honors class was an easy decision for me. I choose an honors class because it would challenge me. It was also a recommendation form the college that i want to go to. From this class i hope to get a better understanding of the universe around me. Space Science has always interested and frustrated me. I love to learn abut space but i find it annoying that some of the questions i may ask may never me answered.
